Areas of study: Italian and Russian language (translation, essay and prose, oral, aural, reading comprehension), translation theory, ancient and modern Russian history, Russian attitudes to the environment (dissertation topic), Italian literature.
This included a year abroad 2008-9, spent in Florence, Italy studying Italian literature; Yaroslavl, Russia studying Russian language; Kharkov, Ukraine consolidating Russian language skills.
